GoalCast is a fan companion app for World Cup fixtures, standings, local score picks, kick-off reminders, and sharing. This policy describes what data the app handles.
Data we do not collect
- No account sign-up or contact info collected automatically by the developer.
- No precise location, health, financial, or advertising identifier collection.
- No third-party analytics or ad SDKs in the current version.
- No cross-app tracking.
Data stored on your device
- Score picks & points — saved locally with SwiftData on your iPhone.
- Preferences — favorite team, followed matches, reminder settings, and similar options via UserDefaults.
- Photos — if you choose “Save to Photos”, the app writes a share card image to your photo library (add-only permission).
Network & third parties
To show schedules and standings, the app requests sports data from football-data.org over HTTPS. Requests originate from your device. We do not operate a GoalCast backend that stores your picks in the cloud.

Notifications
Kick-off reminders use Apple’s local notification APIs. Notifications are scheduled on-device; no push server receives your match choices.
App Store
If you rate the app or install via the App Store, Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to that interaction.
Children
GoalCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this page when the app changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
