That’s why I built englishres.com — a curated directory of 97 free English learning resources, organized so you can actually use them.
最近更新了很多，来说说有什么新东西。
I’ve just shipped a big update. Here’s what’s new.
1. 打开网站的第一眼 | The new look
先说设计。我知道，"网站好看"听起来是最不重要的事——但你打开之后会发现，有时候第一眼就决定了你愿不愿意继续往下用。
I know, “the site looks nicer” sounds like the least important thing. But open it and you’ll see — sometimes how something feels is the difference between using it and closing the tab.
新版参考了苹果官网的设计语言：全屏分节滚动、深色背景配渐变色大标题、流畅的进入动画。每个分类独占一屏，滚下去一节就是一个主题。
The new design takes cues from Apple’s product pages: full-screen sections, dark backgrounds with gradient titles, smooth scroll animations. Each category gets its own screen as you scroll.
不是在炫技，是真的更容易找到你想要的东西。
Not showing off — it’s just genuinely easier to navigate.
2. 在中国用？YouTube 链接自动换成 B 站 | YouTube → Bilibili in Chinese mode
这是这次更新里我最想说的一个功能。
This is the feature I’m most excited about.
切换到中文界面之后，所有原本指向 YouTube 的资源，链接会自动变成对应的 B 站地址。
Switch the site to Chinese, and every YouTube resource automatically links to its Bilibili equivalent instead.
点 Lucy 英语 → 跳到 B 站合集，300 集。
点 TED 演讲 → B 站的 TED 精选频道。
点 Crash Course → B 站的 CrashCourse 字幕组。
点 Rachel 英语 → Rachel 的 B 站官方账号。
《小猪佩奇》《芝麻街》《爱探险的朵拉》……全都有对应的 B 站地址。
Click English with Lucy → Bilibili compilation, 300 episodes.
Click TED → Bilibili TED channel.
Click Crash Course → Bilibili subtitle team channel.
Click Rachel’s English → her official Bilibili account.
Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer — all mapped.
卡片上还会出现一个粉色的「B 站」标签，一眼就能看出哪些资源在国内可以直接打开。
Cards show a pink “B站” badge so you can spot at a glance which resources open without a VPN.
英文界面不受影响，链接还是原来的 YouTube。
English mode is unchanged — YouTube links stay as they are.
3. 标签：一眼看出适合什么水平 | Tags: see your level at a glance
每张资源卡片上现在会显示标签。
Every resource card now shows tags.
绿色 → 初级
蓝色 → 中级
紫色 → 高级
Green → Beginner
Blue → Intermediate
Purple → Advanced
加上语法、词汇、口语、听力、对话、商务、文化……等技能标签。不用一个个点进去猜，扫一眼就知道这个资源适不适合你现在的水平。
Plus skill tags: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, conversation, business, culture… No more clicking into each resource to guess if it’s right for your level.
付费或免费也做了区分——免费不标注，Freemium（基础功能免费）用橙色徽章，Paid（付费）用灰色徽章。
Pricing is also labeled now — free resources show nothing, Freemium gets an amber badge, Paid gets a gray one.
4. 备考雅思托福？专门加了一个分类 | New: IELTS & TOEFL section
工具与应用里新增了「雅思 & 托福」子分类，收录了 4 个公认最实用的备考资源：
Added a dedicated IELTS & TOEFL subcategory under Tools & Apps, with 4 of the most respected prep resources:
- IELTS Simon — 前雅思考官写的免费备考网站，7 分以上必看 | Run by a former IELTS examiner. Essential for 7+.
- IELTS.org — 官方样题和备考材料 | Official practice tests and materials.
- British Council IELTS — 英国文化协会官方免费模拟题 | Free official mock tests.
- ETS TOEFL — 托福官方备考资源 | Official TOEFL prep from ETS.
全部免费，全部官方或社区公认。
