一、名词的修饰语
1、many a
用来修饰单数可数名词，表示的是复数的意义，表示"许多"的意思。
但是主谓一致时，谓语动词仍要根据单数名词来使用。因为 "many a" 强调的是单数名词的个体。
Many a student has passed the exam.（许多学生通过了考试。）这里虽然表示 "许多学生"，但 "student" 是单数形式，因此谓语动词用的是 "has"。Many a person has tried to solve this problem.（许多人尝试解决这个问题。）"person" 是单数形式，所以谓语动词用 "has"。
