Hope you are doing great. Its my honor being in touch with you for technical discussions.
I am little confused with one SCN content and I am seeking for correct information. There is one option in the new ABAP Debugger to load the latest source code during debugging. Although the source code reloaded with the latest active one, the debugger never executes the modified code. For this we need to restart the debugger.
ABAP New debugger -> Miscellaneous-> Load current source code
Program : RSTPDAMAIN
Screen : 100
OK_CODE : MAIN_SCRE
The instance method CL_TPDA_TOOL_EDITOR_AB4->CL_TPDA_TOOL_EDITOR_AB4 gets called during this user command. Do you have any information if this is an expected one? What’s the use of this option in the debugger menu?
Also, I got to know that the source code can be edited live during debugging in the ADT on eclipse. I am not sure about this. Though, Just seeking for some information how could they manage to replace the active load during debugging in ADT but not in our ABAP GUI Debugger? Could you please help me with this?
