I need to debug background work items and I am reading your Note 1731777 - Debugging background work items:

I just would like to know how can I launch the so called “workflow administration” to change the value of _RFC_DESTINATION? I cannot find the transaction code for “workflow administration” after going through some tcode with description as “XXX administration”.

Solution
the „workflow administration“ can be found in the technical display for a work item.
Extras->Activate Administration

What is meant here is changing the work item runtime container, container instance editor, available from technical work item display and log.
If you are not familiar with SAP Business Workflow, note 1731777 may be hard to consume. Instead I can offer also note 1782731.

Hi Jerry,
the debugging is only possible for a work item instance. You have therefore to use the transaction SWI1 to select the work items which should be debugged.
