Self-serving pursuits estrange us from the most important people in our lives. It dawns on me that without love, all such selfish endeavors are meaningless. Achieving goals may bring fleeting joy, but a sense of emptiness always follows. However, when we chase dreams with our loved ones and do work we’re passionate about, that feeling makes life feel eternal.
